HUGE NEWS, RAMS!
The countdown may not officially be on just yet… but believe it or not, the Alexander Ramsey Class of ’79 50th Reunion is slowly making its way onto the horizon! While our golden celebration is still a few years away, the time has come to begin laying the groundwork for what promises to be one of the most memorable gatherings our class has ever experienced. After all, great reunions don’t just happen — they’re built with excitement, ideas, and a whole lot of Ramsey spirit!
During our October 12, 2024 Reunion Recap Meeting, the Reunion Committee gave serious consideration to potential dates for our milestone celebration weekend. Based on feedback received from classmates through our past reunion survey, August 17–18, 2029 emerged as the preferred timeframe for our 50th Reunion festivities. Your input truly helped guide this early planning process, and it’s another great example of how our class continues to shape these events together.
If the incredible energy and laughter from our 45th Class Reunion taught us anything, it’s just how special it is when Rams come together again. The stories, friendships rekindled, shared memories, and nonstop fun made that weekend unforgettable — and now we’re setting our sights even higher! Our hope is that even more members of the Class of ’79 will join us as we plan what we fully expect to be our biggest, best, and most celebrated reunion yet. A 50th Reunion only happens once, and it deserves to be something truly extraordinary.
We’ll be sure to keep everyone updated as plans continue to develop and more details are finalized in the months and years ahead. In the meantime, we’re hoping to gather the Reunion Committee for an informal get-together sometime within the next month or two to start sharing ideas and building momentum.
