Hey Rams,
It may still feel like the 50th Reunion is a few years away—but the truth is, it’s not too early to start thinking ahead, dreaming a little, and most importantly, beginning the planning for what we hope will be our biggest and best celebration yet.
During our October 12, 2024 recap meeting, the reunion committee gave serious consideration to the dates of August 17–18, 2029 for the Alexander Ramsey Class of ’79 50th Reunion weekend. These dates were not chosen at random—they were carefully reviewed and strongly influenced by responses and feedback gathered from our previous reunion survey submitted by classmates like you.
Looking back, the 45th Class Reunion was a fantastic time, filled with laughter, reconnections, great stories, and the kind of energy that reminds us just how special our class really is. We had an incredible turnout, and it was clear that once we’re together again, the years seem to disappear. Our hope is that for the 50th, we’ll see even more of our classmates return and help make it a truly unforgettable weekend.
As we move forward, we’ll continue to keep everyone updated as more details are finalized and plans take shape. There’s still plenty to do, but the excitement is definitely building—and it’s all leading toward something really special.
On another note, our planned May reunion committee gathering didn’t come together as hoped, but I’ll be reaching out to current committee members in the next few days. I’d like us to plan an informal get-together sometime in June to reconnect, share ideas, and keep things moving forward in a relaxed and fun way. And as always, if anyone from the Class of ’79 is interested in joining the reunion committee, we’d love to have you—just reach out and let us know.
