Ramsey 40th Reunion - August 23-24, 2019
Reunion weekend was held on the weekend of August 23rd to the 24th, 2019. The weekend kicked off with the annual golf tournament that was held on Friday August 23rd at The Como Park Golf Club. We had a great tournament with over 30 players participating. The tournament winners were the team of Jerry Dalnes, Kim Nelson Beecham, Mary Jean McGough Sargent and Ken Frigstad. Congratulations.
The fun continued at the Como Park club house as a class meet & greet was held for all alumni. Again we had great participation by our classmates, and the party lasted into the hours of the evening.
Per the request of many of our classmates we added a tour of the old Alexander Ramsey this year. The tour was held on the afternoon of August 24th, and turned out to be a great success. Aldo Sicoli (alumni from 78) and Don Lehman hosted this event. The attendees were awarded by seeing the unraveling of an original Alexander Ramsey flag that was from when Ramsey first opened and was found just recently.
The weekend’s homecoming wrapped up as alumni gathered Saturday evening at the Roseville American Legion for the main event. Those who attended had a convivial evening as we enjoyed 70’s music, good atmosphere, reacquainted ourselves with old friends and made new friends of those undiscovered in high school. For those not in attendance, we missed you.

The reunion committee and I would like to take this time to express our gratitude to all of those who made these events so entertaining. Thank you to Anastasia Albert, Sam Strachan and Thekla Fagerlie-Madsen for the donations that they provided, the staff at Como Park Golf Course and Cozy’s Bar & Grill, Aldo Sicoli and Don Lehmann who took time from their own schedules to provide us with an excursion through the old school, Natasha Caswell and the staff at the Roseville American Legion who provided awesome beverages and food for us, Paul Kielb (alumni ’78) who helped us with registration, and of course, the entire class of 1979 for making this event possible.
